Case Study 3 -
Large Central London Roof Terrace
This fifth-floor roof terrace in Central London has a large footprint of 150m2. The clients required a space to relax, entertain and cook and also space for the children to enjoy.
With this in mind, we designed a roof space to include a relaxation area with spa and lounge, a kitchen and dining area together with artificial grass and a putting green. The roof was divided by an existing central wall to which we fitted an artificial green wall and stainless steel water feature. Before we could undertake all this work the whole roof structure was strengthened with steel beams to take the weight of the new garden above it.
The flooring throughout was fitted with Millboard composite decking in Carbonised charred and smoked oak to create contrasting areas. GRP planters were used throughout the design in graphite grey & white to complement the scheme.
we designed a bespoke cooking zone with built in BBQ & rotisserie, granite counter top with sink, outdoor fridge and stainless steel storage cupboards.
Remote control LED lighting was used to create different zones within these spaces and brings the garden alive at night.
